Title: Little Big Planet
Director / Author / Development Team / Creator: Media Molecule
Publisher / Producer / Network:Sony?
Actors:Stephen Fry
Genre:Platform
Price:
Plot synopsis:General Platform game?

So Little Big Plannet! Many of you own it! Many of you want it! and Many wont/dont? So why write about a game that has not only been talked about alot but also reviewd alot also? Well I'm going to take this review from a different angle. that off my two son's Zac (6) and Blake (4)

My two sons enjoy a little gaming action and until LBP (Little big plannet as it will be called from now on!) they only games they would typically play were those on the Cbeebies website and Rub a Dub (PSN network game) I had seen the videos for LBP long before it was realeased and it caught my eye from the start. visually cool sounded great.. but most importantly a platform game that took me back to early gaming that was jazzed up and modern and could be enjoyed with others. So launch day i made that purchase (unusual for me i usually wait for price drops!) I also purchased a second controller and me and my wife started to get on with it! (not that! the game!) She loved it from the start and could not put it down. I was playing one morning after a night shift when zac came down and asked to join in so i gave him the controler and loaded up the starter level. a little guidance and was well away! Always wanting to play.. The most interesting thing for me was the level of play not only did he grasp the concept he loved the level involment changing costumes each time he collected a new set! playing around in the level editor and experimenting.. ok so he never really created a fully working level.. but he has created some impressive structures for a six year old! Blake by this time was feeling a little left out.. so another trip out and we have a 3rd controller. although picking up the concept he often needs help on certain sections but loves it all the same.. They often both play together which at times results in an arguemnt about one not waiting for the other lol! we have since had to purchase a 4th control so we can all play which is great!

Oh and on another note, Stephen Fry was the not only the only choice for the voice over but the perfect choice! brilliant!

For games:
Gameplay:4/5 (only because some of the later levels are simply far to difficult for the younger ones)
Controls:5/5
Sound:5/5
Graphics:5/5

Everything:
Rating: 5/5
Comments:Got kids? get this and enough controlers for you all hence the 5/5

Dang, I was gonna review this...  Looks like you beat me to it.  I guess I'll just add to it then:

I bought this as an anniversary gift because I thought the whole thing sounded boring and my boyfriend would enjoy it more than I would.  Little did I know that once we were online I was playing it more than he was.  I usually play with Dark, and the headsets help.  I wouldnt actually recommend some of it for kids because my brother and I swear a lot.  So we dont like it when little kids play.  The rating definitely changes when you go online, though levels are monitored for content.  Still, I have a wicked potty mouth.

The controls are a little loose, especially for accurate jumping, but it cant all be easy.  Sometimes I find the levels more creepy than cute (a skulldozer threatening to mow me down isnt cute) but it's very stimulating and challenging while still being fun, and most of the online community is really friendly and helpful (unlike those call of duty players than whine about how everything is unfair).  Once a stranger was trying to haul me off a cliff, but I didnt care too much.  How can you take a game seriously when you're a tiny little cute lion?

I havent tried making a level, but it will definitely involve rocket cats.  How can it not?

Have to say i dont allow the kids online simply for that reason alone.. its difficult to control the language at times.. even for me as a parent. But the online community for LBP is masive and also so very friendly usually open to requests for help on areas you may be stuck or extra support for those sections that require more than one player.

Add to that, some of the levels being created are just mind blowing... the scoring and tagging systems works great allowing you to quickly find those levels that really are nothing short of amazing.

If you dont play online (we didnt get online for like a year, but now we are) I wouldnt recommend getting LBP.  The best part of LBP is the online play.  You just pick up a controller and play!  One of my Xbox friends was visiting the other day and we just gave him a controller and told him "R1 to grab, X to jump" and he was set!  I love that you barely have to train at all to have fun.

LBP is one of those games that come along every so often that make it worthwhile to own a system. At first I was skeptical about how something about a sackboy would hold my interest; yet after playing a few rounds; I was hooked. I think the reason for success is partially because it is very much a game that evokes memories of games past. Think Mario Bros. Sonic and many other clone platforming games. Something about this game is relaxing and soothing. Media Molecule really captured something special. I am looking forward to Mod Nation Racers.
